Rather than just requesting sponsorship to do a weird and wacky pursuit, I am hoping to provide an incentive for people to buy a raffle ticket and be able to win a fabulous trip to Cape Town for four people. I am not benefitting in any way from this endeavor and none of the money is being used for any of my personal expenses.
The prize winner will receive 4 flights and a week’s accommodation for 4 people in the luxurious Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town. I will be approaching South African Airways to ask for sponsorship for the flights and the Mount Nelson Hotel have already agreed to providing the accommodation
An online raffle and charitable donations website will be set up by Rogavi.com. As I’m hoping to raise R1,000,000 I will need to sell about 10,000 tickets. To achieve this :
1. I will be contacting radio and television stations both in the UK and in South Africa to promote the event.
2. I will be approaching local schools to promote the selling of the raffle tickets
3. I will be contacting all my friends and asking them to purchase a ticket and ask each of them to sell as many tickets for me as possible
4. I am liaising with Kathi Scott who is the Executive Director of the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund in the UK. She has agreed to help me promote the event.
